This multi - talented company are certainly on the crest of a wave! Following great critical acclaim for their production of The 39 Steps and having struggled with the “follow that” dilemma, Concept not only came up with Lend Me A Tenor, but are following it with a wonderful seldom produced musical known as The Mystery Of Edwin Drood, based on the unfinished novel by Charles Dickens and not to be missed! How long before we see Noises Off?
This production was slick and well directed, “so lucky to have such talented actors” the director commented and I can only concur, however, so lucky to have such a talented director also!
Paul Buckle (Max), very funny, squeezing every ounce of humour out of the role, alongside Nigel Holloway, out of the pit and back on stage as the great Tito Morelli, and together they were!
It is always pleasing to see new members being thrust into the spotlight and maybe that is the secret of this company’s success, fine performances by Helen Stubbs, Stephen Davies, Aileen Rahilly, Ben Mussell, Helen Windsor and then we come to one of Concepts finest performers Ellie Hoare! As Diana she was perfectly cast and delivered a first class performance well done, again!
A fantastic hyper speed re-run of the show for the curtain call just underlined how much fun the show was! Another great night of entertainment from a great company, thank you!
